so as you may have guess, i went to see the princess and the frog today. EPIC, COMPLETE WIN.
first off, the only character i disliked was lawrence, and let's face it -- you had to dislike lawrence, slimy little bastard that he was. pervin' on lottie and stealin' naveen's identity and all.
my absolute favorite characters? lottie and facilier, hands down. i was also very fond of louis, evangeline, and naveen. and juju.
as for lottie. southern, blue-eyed blonde, debutante, and she wasn't a bitch. she was a dreamer, and so sweet -- "i'll do it for you, tia!" her energy was contagious, and she was adorable.
dr facilier, aka the shadow man. ALDKFJA I WANT HIM TO VOODOO ME. so very badly. enough said. damn.
louis. the alligator. XD he was the best. "i found a stiiiiiiiiiiick!" and "it didn't end well" were probably two of the most epic lines in the movie, and there were quite a few of those. not to mention that louis intimidating the realtors at the end was hilarious.
evangeline and ray.
alright. naveen. uh, hello. he's naveen. and the dinner scenes were great. "i'm mincing!" "oh, i sound like an idiot."
i liked tiana too; just not as much as lottie. XD and mama odie. adored her, as she's like my mom, but still. facilier, hands down.
this movie is great; i don't get the haters. baaw, there's a black princess. baaw, she's a frog for most of the movie. baaw, there's voodoo. suck it up.
i just -- this was great. and the songs were fabulous. if i had to pick a favorite...well, it's a toss-up between "friends on the other side" and "when we're human."
of course, with the visuals as well, "friends on the other side" wins hands-down. um, hello. naveen's transformation. kick ass.
GO SEE IT GO SEE IT NOW.
